With 170km of Adriatic coastline, dotted with towns and villages, filled with fish restaurants, your eye travels upwards over the gently curving hills, towards the Apennines. In between , medieval castles, villages and towns perch magnificently on top of hills overlooking spectacular views, the fields looking like patchwork quilts.

Nestled beside Emilia Romagne,Tuscany, Umbria and Abruzzo Le Marche is brilliantly placed for touring, Casa Ambiente is 15 mins. from the A 14 Motorway that runs up to Venice and down to the heel. The trunk road S 76 (to Rome) is 15 mins. from the house.

One of the greatest attractions is discovering delightful Medieval towns and villages, perched on the hill coaxing you to visit. Relax in the square (piazza) in one of the numerous cafes/bars with an espresso, a sambuca or a brioch! and watch the world go by as the Italians do.
Time stands still; Marche is reminiscent of Old England a generation ago, people are warm and friendly so willing to oblige and to talk to you.
Whether you want to admire masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture; trek across uncharted mountains, hunt out the best catch at the fishing port, shop till you drop or laze by the pool or sea.

Le Marche lies on the eastern side of central Italy; between the Adriatic Sea (the Mare) and the Apenninni Mountains ( The Monte).
